Locally owned and operated since 2003, Wishlist Optical saw the need for high-quality eyewear at reasonable prices in the Spokane area. We accomplished this by partnering with a local frame wholesaler and optical laboratory. By sourcing these products directly, we pass the value directly to you.
At Wishlist, we offer several unconventional payment options, in addition to traditional insurance billing. Cash payment options can help those who don’t have vision insurance or would simply like to save money by circumventing costly copays and out-of-pocket expenses. This way, the doctor and optician can offer the best products to meet your needs, instead of what is permitted by insurance companies.
Originally known as Affordable Optics, in 2021 we moved from Mission and Hamilton to North Division to allow us to upgrade much of our equipment and build a facility suited to 21st century eyecare. We will continue to innovate so that your next pair of eyeglasses will be your best!

Carolyn Grout, OD
Dr. Carolyn Grout is our on-site independent doctor and has been with us since 2008. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Grout specializes in contact lens fitting, refractions, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease as well as cataract and lasik co-management.
Dr. Grout is committed to providing the finest eye care for her patients and enjoys building connections with those patients she sees through the years.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys tennis, biking, watching football and crocheting.
Alyssa Zunker
Alyssa Zunker started with Wishlist in 2013 and is an apprenticing optician. She is well-versed in both contact and eyewear selection.
Linda Jordan
Linda Jordan is our resident expert optician with over 40 years experience. She has developed great techniques for selecting the best eyeglasses for your lifestyle.
